HEALTH CAMP AT SONAGACHI RED LIGHT AREA, KOLKATA.
AIM Foundation arranged for medical camp on 05/09/2021 at Chaitnya Library, Beadon Street, Kolkata, for the children of Sex Workers of Sonagach, Rambagan area assisted by 6 willing and caring doctors.
Children of all age groups from Rambagan, Sonagachi, and Lohapotty turned up in huge numbers at this camp which was also coarranged by Ananda Mandir an organisation working for the last 40 years with children of red light area
Basic medicines, books on hygiene awareness, and feminine hygiene products were handed over.
It was heartening to see that young people took the medical camp seriously and awareness about self health is on the rise.
Anyday is a good day for community work. But today was a calender day being Teachers day. And what better way and day than today.
