WATER DISTRIBUTION IN MAIPITH ISLAND, SUNDARBANS,
Water water everywhere, not a drop to drink! Yes, presently this is what the people of Sunderbans are facing due to the recent cyclone Yaas.
Despite present high rising Covid cases, lockdown restrictions and heavy downpour, AIM Foundation found its way to the people of Bhubaneswari, Maipith Islands, Sunderbans with water and dry food on 28th May, 2021.
We highly appreciate the young field workers of Ashar Alo for making this venture possible against all odds.
Our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Kolkata Municipal Corporation for arranging 1500 litre of drinking water for the people of Bhubaneswari.
We are highly grateful to Mr Sunirmal Roy, OC Bankshall Court and Mr Salil Kumar Roy, OC Burrabazar for helping us procure dry food and other relief items during this lockdown period.
We are highly indebted to Income tax Sports and Recreation Club for letting us use their club premises for storing relief items for the victims of Yaas.
>No amount of appreciation is enough for the young and ever energetic students (both present and ex) of Purulia Ramkrishna Mission for their day in and day out support in organising the food packets and other relief items for the Yaas victims.
